3 Best Clean, Green Beauty Retailers

These online retailers are choosy about the offerings they carry, and they’re transparent about their process as well as the ingredients in each individual product. Pricing varies, but they have brands for every budget and skin type, for men and women alike.

Not all clean, green beauty is created equal. You (almost) can’t go wrong with any of the products sold by these companies, but it’s still a case-by-case basis, so be sure to check the ingredient label before buying. Here are my go-to retailers for all things safe, sustainable, and effective beauty!

Credo ($-$$$)
Credo is Latin for “I believe,” and without being the biggest cheeseball (too late) I’m a believer. They have a wide range of cruelty-free products, and I applaud their exceptional customer service. On their website, they have a quick guide on how to easily swap out your current regimen for similar, safer creations instead. Credo has a charitable element too: they donate 1% of every purchase to Lipstick Angels. They have locations in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and across NYC if you’re in those areas!

Detox Market ($-$$$)
This LA-based gem has an impressive selection of cruelty-free products. Their safety pledge includes a strict process for checking the purity and efficacy of the items they offer. They have a detailed blog post about nasty ingredients they don’t allow in the products they sell and why. (Knowledge is power.) Shipping is fast & affordable, and they consistently have a 10% off code on their homepage for your purchasing pleasure!

Follain ($-$$$)
Follain curates the best of the best in non-toxic, luxurious beauty. They do their research, and they have the exceptional product offerings to prove it. They have a five-step approval process to ensure that they’re providing the safest, most effective creations possible by thoroughly investigating, testing, and cross-checking the ingredients in their products, where they came from, and how they were made. They have a few brick and mortar locations in NYC, across Boston, and a seasonal pop-up in Nantucket.
